USAID’s IDEAL: Real Impact, Lasting Change

We are proud to showcase the incredible impact of USAID-funded projects worldwide and the dedicated teams driving meaningful change. Our clients have made a meaningful difference in the lives of the world’s most vulnerable communities. One powerful example of this work is USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance, which is dedicated to enhancing food and nutrition security.

A key initiative within this effort is the IDEAL (Implementer-Led Design, Evidence, Analysis & Learning) activity. IDEAL has supported projects that provide critical humanitarian assistance—ranging from food and shelter for displaced migrants in Venezuela to training in drought-resistant farming techniques in Honduras. By taking a science-driven approach, IDEAL evaluates the impact of these efforts to ensure they deliver more targeted, sustainable support.

Gathering evidence of effectiveness, IDEAL helps international aid organizations refine their approaches and implement the most promising strategies for long-term impact. The activity also empowers communities by equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to develop capacity, facilitate problem-solving, and connect with resources. This approach underscores a commitment to continuous improvement and accountability to the American people, who help fund these life-changing initiatives.

TM Design worked with teams from Save the Children, Mercy Corps, and TANGO International to showcase their impact evaluations, key findings, and recommendations for future enhancements. We were honored to support IDEAL’s resilience initiatives and hope it will continue to be a positive influence on vulnerable communities worldwide.
